Sometimes you just have to laugh

How bad can it get?

...Going out in the snow, sleet, freezing rain bad thing...the landscape looks like a fairy tale, good thing...dead battery on a year old car bad thing...husband in Cleveland calls a local Dr Rx and they come and jump the car for free good thing... flat tire, bad thing... most wonderful friend in the world rescues me good thing actually great thing... service department at lunch bad thing... friend spends/shares two hours with me chatting and catching up over lunch good thing... computer at service department crashes bad thing... I am under warranty good thing... exchange student has to go to Dr. bad thing... substitute doctor speaks German fluently great thing...has to get prescription and the wait is long bad thing...the pharmacist works beyond the call of duty good thing..., son gets report card usually bad thing..., all B's first time ever great thing..Its finally dinner...dogs feed, dishes done, laundry started, chat with mom and husband all good things.

Had to laugh it was basically a great day! How was yours?

Politics and Fido

...a Latin name meaning "I am faithful." As such it is a terrific name for the average protective and loyal family dog. However, it gets its popularity from a celebrity tie-in. Apparently, Abraham Lincoln, a largely self-educated but very erudite man, named his dog Fido. Americans followed suit in droves, putting the dog name Fido firmly in the top 20 names. Lincoln’s choice of Fido for his dog’s name was perfectly logical. Fido is the Latin for faithful, which when dealing with any pet dog is entirely appropriate
