Fuzzy doesn't like feathers

Fuzzy aka princess has a wardrobe the envy of any little girl, dresses with ruffles and sparkles, polka dots and ribbons. But most all of them are pink. So when I went out the other day I came across a lovely turquois dress, adorned with a boa skirt and sequins. I thought the color change would be good.
You see we live in the woods and Fuzzy tends to find the smallest holes in the fence, and when you are 7 pounds that is not that hard to do. And finding her has always been difficult. So you do what you can to limit her adventures and shorten the time she is on them. Sure she will sing when you call her name, but its so much easier when your dressed in pink to be found and hopefully the resident hawk, which is huge, or the coyote that lives just beyond our fence is not looking for a snack, will be to embarrassed to try and eat something dressed in pink..teasing from the other hawks and coyotes.."What you cant catch real prey you had to get one in a pink dress?"
Well I got home and dressed her up and all chaos broke out. First she fought tooth and nail, slippery as an eel she was turning this way and that. Then the Labs and hounds went bonkers, sniffing and chasing her right under tables to low for them to get their snouts under. Well it didn't take me to long to figure I had dressed my dog as a bird and then sent her out to see a pack of bird dogs. Poor thing, probably felt like one of those guys in the cages in the water when they throw bait out to attrack sharks.
I will make it up to her and let her where her T-shirt with the sequins skull and cross bones on it.

Politics and Fido

...a Latin name meaning "I am faithful." As such it is a terrific name for the average protective and loyal family dog. However, it gets its popularity from a celebrity tie-in. Apparently, Abraham Lincoln, a largely self-educated but very erudite man, named his dog Fido. Americans followed suit in droves, putting the dog name Fido firmly in the top 20 names. Lincoln’s choice of Fido for his dog’s name was perfectly logical. Fido is the Latin for faithful, which when dealing with any pet dog is entirely appropriate
