Well its time to see if all of Hoagies training has paid off. The question remains can an athelete self train? Perhaps the chasing of fireflies was a training exercise. But with three days to go, I can only imagine how nervous he must be, as he will be competeing against Basset Hounds with more experience and even longer, chubbier legs. As he sleeps now on the Ottoman does he dream of the glories of the winners circle? We will never know. On the other hand tomorrow I am off to Hobby Lobby to get three red T shirts and will print Team Hoagie with his picture on it. Alex and two of his friends, Jen and Jake will be going down to the track to race Hoagie, and since there is national news coverage of this the Red T shirts should get them some attention. And it will be easier to pick them out in the pictures I take. So lets hope that Hoagie will run this year instead of laying down and rolling over when the gun goes off. Very embarrassing in front of more then 5000 people, but they did applaud when he crossed the finish line.
