My life as a mom of two Labradors, a basset hound, a dachsund/basset mix,a newfoundland, a teacup Pekignese, and a wonderful 15 year old son. This is how I survive by laughing, loving and doing laundry. These are my rescues/family and this is my story.

Aiden
Long about mid march we went our local Labrador Rescue dinner and there, my husband, son and I first met Aiden. Too very cute. Unfortunately at the tender age of about7 weeks his growth plate had been traumatized and broken. His left front leg did not have a bright outlook. Well that was it. My husband and son wanted him. But in all of her wisdom Roncy kept Aiden safe and quiet in a crate not something that would happen at our house with 7 other dogs. And let my husband adopt Sully an abused Newfoundland, perfect match again Roncy!! Well about three weeks went by and I saw my neighbor with her Labby Sam and a new puppy/ Sams girlfriend Rosie a beautiful young black Labby had passed suddenly a few months back. Well you guessed it! Sam was laughing and running with his new buddy Aiden, everyone was smiles including us. Now we get to see Aiden all of the time and we have our first Newfie too.

Politics and Fido
...a Latin name meaning "I am faithful." As such it is a terrific name for the average protective and loyal family dog. However, it gets its popularity from a celebrity tie-in. Apparently, Abraham Lincoln, a largely self-educated but very erudite man, named his dog Fido. Americans followed suit in droves, putting the dog name Fido firmly in the top 20 names. Lincoln’s choice of Fido for his dog’s name was perfectly logical. Fido is the Latin for faithful, which when dealing with any pet dog is entirely appropriate
